The Church of Pentecost has issued its strongest warning to the Ghanaian government yet on legislation targeting lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer people and their activities (LGBTQ+).

Apostle Eric Nyamekye, the Church's National Chairman, has stated that any political party opposed to the passing of the Promotion of Proper Human Sexual Rights and Ghanaian Family Values Bill will be voted out.

"We're going to get people out on the streets, and we're going to tell any government that if they vote against this law, we're going to vote them out." "Neutrality has no place here," he told media.

On Wednesday, Apostle Nyamekye was one of roughly 30 prominent clergymen who presented a memorandum in support of the bill to the House's Committee on Constitution and Legal Affairs.
