The former parliamentary candidate for the Kpone Katamanso constituency, who doubles as the communication member of the New Patriotic Party has dropped some serious mathematical proofs and explanations on why he believes that nobody can stop Alan Kojo Kyeremanten from becoming the next flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party.
The argument made by supporters of the Bawumia camp is that it is the turn of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia because of the Dankwa-Busia-Dombo tradition. They have argued that the NPP should not pave way for the NDC to be vindicated on their assertion that the NPP is a very tribalistic party and that they base their selection of leaders on tribal cards.
Today, Alan Kojo Kyeremanten has brilliantly dropped some massive arguments which can singlehandedly debunk all the claims of the supporters of the Bawumia camp. He explained that throughout the history of the New Patriotic Party's selection of flagbearers and running mate, the Dombo tradition has been enjoyed the most. According to him, all flagbearers of the New Patriotic Party have selected for themselves, running mates who are from the Dombo clan. On the other hand, power rotates between the Dankwa and Busia always whiles the Dombo clan remains constant.
"The NPP has a Dankwa-Busia-Dombo tradition. And in the history of the New Patriotic [arty, the Dombos has always enjoyed. Whenever the Dankwa's are in charge, the Busia has no place otherwise. Adu Boahen took a Dombo man as his running mate and it did not work. In 1996, Kuffour brought a Dombo person as a running mate.
After Kuffour left, Nana Addo took over and he selected a Dombo person as running mate. So if it started from Dankwa(Adu Boahen) and went to Busia(Kuffour) and now Dankwa again(Nana Addo), who then must take over? The Busia of course and this is Alan. This is simple mathematics. The permutation is very simple"
