The Central Region's Mfantseman constituency chairman for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has passed away.
Alhaji Gibrine Adams passed away on July 19 after a brief illness.

His son, Gibrine Adams, confirmed this to MyJoyOnline news firm.
He claims that Mr. Adams will be laid to rest today, July 20, at 10 am.
The last funeral service, nevertheless, will take place on Saturday, July 23 at his residence.
Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia expressed his sorrow.

Saying " Alhaji Gibrine Adams, the constituency chairman for Mfantseman for our party, passed away, I learned with regret.
Alhaji Adams was further honoured by the Vice President, who praised him as "a friend and a great patriot, whose dedication to the NPP was unshakeable."
Dr. Bawumia posted on Facebook, "May Allah console his family and also grant him Jannatul Firdaus."
