The equipment were seize and burnt by a team from the small miners association of Ghana (ssmag)in collaboration with the interministerial committee on illegal mining alongiside the ministry of eviroment,science technology and innovation(MESTI).
The visit was part of daily routine visits to clamp down the activities of illegal mining in the catchment areas.
Dozens of illegal meners were also chased away during the visit
Modern Ghana news understand that Dr Frimpong Boateng supported the small scale miners.

And he added to it if they find any material which is is used to do this work they should burnt it they should not leave any pin alive
So many equiment burnt at the galamsey place, something like machines,fuel, big vihicles etc
The taskforce is currentry oparating in the central,westen and Ashanti region to sufeguard land and water bodies from the cruel hands of illegal miners.
