Member of Parliament of the North Tongu constituency, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa joined Sena Nombo on the Alhaji and Alhaji show. Today, he proved and showed to the whole world the hypocritical nature of Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo. From day 1, he has been against Nana Addo's luxurious travels with expensive jets and now, the purchase of the presidential jets. Realizing that his "long talks" were gradually becoming a nuisance to the Ghanaian citizenry, he brought to the studios of Pan African TV, an old powerful document that exposed Nana Addo. He disclosed that it took him much time to find those documents and that was the first time he was reading it out to the general public on TV. The document was a parliamentary hansard which was a summary of what transpired in parliament way back on 15th February 2000. Then, Nana Addo was MP for the Abuakwa constituency, and Mahama, MP for Bole Bamboi constituency. The parliamentary hansard contained a debate by Nana Addo in Parliament and that debate reflected what Nana Addo is currently doing. This is an excerpt of the hansard.
"Thank you very much speaker for the opportunity to contribute to this debate. It is good to see that the Minister of Finance and Minister of Communication(Mahama) are both here to listen to us. I intend to limit my intervention to two main issues. This is a time when people are crying for greater public investment in our social services, health system. Their cries are met with a response that there is no money but the President is entitled to have spent for himself 19 million dollars over five years on the aircraft."
Nana Addo, then MP for Abuakwa was complaining about the increased expenditure on aircraft. Now he finds it expedient not to only hire these aircraft but also purchase a large luxurious one.
