A Bad Wind Blowing Through The New Patriotic Party-NPP

The New Patriotic Party (NPP), on Friday, 27 May, 2022 began their regional executive elections at its regional delegates conference.

The conference will see the election of the Regional Chairperson, First Regional Vice Chairperson, Second Regional Vice Chairperson, Regional Secretary, Assistant Regional Secretary, Regional Treasurer, Regional Organizer, Regional Women’s Organizer, Regional Youth Organizer and Regional NASARA Coordinator.

The current information reveals that, a big blow has started hitting the party, as some incumbent party executives have started losing their seats.


In the just-ended elections in the Savanna Region, Five incumbent executives of the New Patriotic Party, are reported to have failed to retain their positions in the party.


These are are the present 2nd Vice Chair, Secretary, Organizer, Treasurer, and Nasara Coordinator.

Meanwhile, the Savannah Regional Chairman of the of the NPP, Alhaji Sulemana Iddrisu, has been re-elected with 114 votes as against the 60 garnered by his only contender, Abass Azumah in the chairmanship race.


Other officers who retained their positions are: Dr. Abudu Amadu Musah (won the 1st Vice Chairperson position), Kwame Aboagye (won the regional organizer), Johnson Kwame Gyinde, Mohammed Issah, Mayoyo Aminu Sulemana emerged victorious in the 2nd Vice Chairperson, Secretary and Assistant Secretary positions respectively.


The other winners are: "Abu Lutie [Treasurer], Raphael Akati Mahama [Youth Organizer], Hajia Safia Mohammed [Women Organizer] and Mohammed Marhey Bamba [Nasara Coordinator]".
