The unprofessional conduct by some security personnel in the country has been attributed to improper training as a result of "protocol" recruitment in the services.
Although the people in authority always deny it, "protocol" recruitment into our security services is still active and the surest way to get recruited.
The Member of Parliament for Tamale Central Constituency, Comrade Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed, has revealed that he has made efforts in the past to get his people recruited into the security services through protocols.
Comrade Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed made this disclosure on 'GH TODAY' on GHONE television this morning when he confirmed that there is always a protocol list given to persons in authority for recruitment into the security services in Ghana.
According to Comrade Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed, it is a fact that there is always a protocol list whenever there is recruitment into the security services in the country.
"To be very honest, I've even spoken with the current minister of interior long before they started the recruitment that I have some people I wanted to be recruited, and he told me that they haven't started with the recruitment. So, If I could get such a response, it means that there are always a protocol list."
Comrade Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed alleged that the 137 NPP MPs in Parliament and Ministers have all been given a protocol list for recruitment into the security services.
Murtala Mohammed admitted that the idea of a protocol list is not limited to the NPP alone, but all the political parties including the NDC.
"I have admitted that I've made efforts in the past to get some of my people engaged."
Comrade Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed said that he wants his brother (NPP co-panelist) on the program to admit that they have all been given a protocol list for recruitment into the security services.
