President Nana Akufo Addo has refuted the claim that the tomb of the late president John Evans Fiifi Atta Mills has been tampered with by the Atta Mills Institute.
He said this has been a wrong accusation against the government for allowing an NGO to tamper with the tomb in the course of the renovation.
“There have been unfortunate accusations leveled by some persons against Government about the supposed desecration of the tomb of the late President in the process of rehabilitating the Park.”
He asserts that this false statement has been addressed by the Chief executive officer of Coastal Development Authority Mr. Jerry Ahmed Schaib.
“Nothing could be further from the truth, and it is good to note that these false, malicious statements have been firmly dispelled and debunked by the Coastal Development Authority, through the agency of its CEO, Mr. Jerry Ahmed Schaib, in a public statement under his hand,” he added.
This follows an accusation by Samuel Atta Mills, the brother of the late president that the government has allowed an NGO to tamper with the tomb of their Brother.
