The Ghanaian youth has today shown to our leaders that in deed they are the future leaders of this country and so their plights ought to be addressed as a priority.
After what is believed to be one of the chaos free yet successful nationwide demonstration the nation has witnessed in recent times, the youth and leaders of the fixthecountry# campaign are expectant their message conveyed today to our leaders will be duly heard and addressed as soon as possible.
Looking at how the youth reacted during the whole event, many are of the opinion that the two major political parties in the country, the ruling New patriotic party and the opposition National Democratic Congress will be at the loosing end since a chunk of their supporters that are youth will shift from partizan politics and do what we call politics of issues, where power will be given the party that will dance to their tune.
But the big question is can this political enthusiasm in our youth just dismiss overnight as a result of today's demonstration? Secondly, are they not the same people we will see in party colours come 2024? Ghana is one country where the youth and their love for political parties is indescribable especially during election period. In every election year the Ghanaian youth will do every possible to help his or her party political power.
Perhaps this is the reason why our political leaders take the youth for granted, for they know no matter how angry they may be they will be willing to die for their parties during every election period. Let's hope the message given them by the leaders of the fixthecountry# protest today will change their our way of thinking once and for all.
