Turn Appropriate Anger Into Positive Momentum, The Majestic Words Of Dr Richard Asiedu To Ghana

I have witnessed, with dismay, the events of the last 48 hours and share the anger and disappointment of every discerning Ghanaian.

While the supreme court ruling was predictable and expected, the disregard for basic tenets of procedure and jurisprudence, which we have come to expect from the courts, has left a sour taste in the mouths of many Ghanaians.

It is even more worrying to our grassroots that the impunity of some ministers in government over the last four years seems to have been legitimized by some of our serving members of Parliament as well. We all have reasons to point accusing fingers at individuals and groups, but the gains we have made over the last four years cannot be allowed to go to waste. The collective resolve to return Ghana to progressive ways remain our goal. Therefore, these developments must irk our innermost strength and convictions into overdrive to rid Ghana of the NPP and their agents.

I want to congratulate His Excellency John Dramani Mahama and Her Excellency Prof. Jane Naana Opoku Agyeman for the brilliant battle they have led our troops to fight and encourage them to remain steadfast knowing that the ultimate Victory is within reach. I also want to congratulate our 13 Members of Parliament from our Region who were present and voted in line with the party's position and urge you all to pray for them as we face today and the future together.

As one of you and a committed stakeholder, i will continue to encourage, assist and lead the fight towards reclaiming our destined place in the polity. May we also thank every Comrade for their efforts and encourage ourselves to cross this river.

God bless the NDC fraternity!

God bless us all!!
