Honorable Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament for Tamale Central has burst out his dissatisfaction about the current situation of the Chief Justice and a Lawyer for New Patriotic Party (NPP) during the 2020 election petition.
According to Hon Murtala the current chief justice, Anin Yeboah should understand there is no one above the law in this country and no matter who you are, you will still receive criticisms. He continues by saying after Dr. Ayine who was the spokesperson for the petitioner John Dramani Mahama was charged for contempt over some words he used.
Lawyer Oppong who was part of the Lawyers of the second respondent speaking in an interview on Joy FM revealed they played a role in Dr. Dominic Ayine's contempt and even they helped him to escaped prison. Per what Hon. Murtala said, if Dr. Ayine is going to face General Legal Council over his comments against Chief Justice then Lawyer Oppong should also be invited to face the General legal council on the comment he made on Joy FM.
