The 2024 election heat has started and parties have started implementing strategic planning to secure victory. The opposition National Democratic Congress gears to clinch a flawless victory after being defeated twice by the ruling New Patriotic Party in the 2016 and 2020 elections respectively. Ghanaians are anticipating what would happen when the two parties finally clash in such tough contest.
Earlier today, January 19, 2022, a member of the NDC legal team, Lawyer Edudzi Tamakloe was interviewed alongside, the Member of Parliament for Bortianor Ngleshie Amanfro, Honourable Sylvester Tetteh on TV3 New Day show hosted by Johnny Hughes. It was a heated discussion between two experienced panelists from the camps of the opposition NDC and NPP.
According to Lawyer Edudzi Tamakloe, the Ningo Prampram seat would be impossible to be won by an NPP MP. He indicated that his party has started working assiduously to win the seat in 2024. He also made a bold declaration that the Amanfro seat is eyed by the NDC and works arw underway to make him (Honourable Sylvester Tetteh) a one term lawmaker.
However, it seemed the comment from Edudzi Tamakloe did not go down well with Honourable Sylvester Tetteh who also responded with a threat to the opposition National Democratic Congress. The lawmaker boldly declared that the Amanfro and Ningo Prampram seat will never be won by the NDC again.
Speaking further, Sylvester Tetteh predicted a massive defeat for the NDC in the 2024 elections, indicating that the party will lose many seats and also lose the Presidency to the NPP. He believes that, the people have no confidence in the leadership style of the NDC, hence no mistake will be made to bring them back to power.
He said, "One of the targets of the NDC in the 2020 election was to win that seat but I am telling you on this show that they will never win that seat in the Greater Accra Region. After I have served enough, I will retire handing over to an NPP MP. This is the response I will give to Edudzi Tamakloe."
