NDC communicator mocks NPP colleague for using old car which emit smoke and still defends IMF

Ghana is at the IMF for a staggering 18th time in our short history and the communicators of this current administration attribute it to the global pandemic covid 19 and the Russian-Ukraine war.

Analysts and finance experts however disagree with this government assertion and position but have solely attributed it to mismanagement. They have added that we can never develop if we continue along this path of mismanagement and seeking an IMF-backed program every 3 and half years since this is the 18th time.

On Pure Fm morning show, the host put forward the subject of discussion about IMF to his two representatives from their political parties. The NDC panelist mocked his counterpart for using an old car that emits smoke because he wasn't given some of the 'stolen' monies from the government which has compelled them to go to IMF.

He opined that the Russia-Ukraine war and covid have got nothing to do with Ghana's economy but thievery and corruption, have brought us this far.

Asafo Adjei posited that even in 2020, we still gave this government the benefit of the doubt by retaining them, not because we would be direct beneficiaries of its regime, but because we believed Addo would be a leader and restore dignity to that high office. We believed he will create a level playing field for intelligent, smart, and hard-working Ghanaians to prosper and contribute to the development of Ghana.

"Sadly, What a monumental disappointment this has been. What a waste of our time, and are we doomed or something? Common sense has given way to party thievery and relentless pursuit of power for personal gain and not for collective growth and development," he concluded.
