Akuffo-Addo Likes Corruption That’s Why He Won’t Reshuffle – NDC Chairman

The Nhyiaeso Constituency Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Ernest Afayam says Ghana is headed for doom if the leadership it is currently experiencing is all the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) have got to offer.

He says President Akuffo-Addo and his appointees have nothing more under their sleeves to offer the people of Ghana because of how badly they have managed the country’s economy.

Responding to President Akuffo-Addo’s dismissal of the call for a reshuffle, the NDC Chairman in Nhyiaeso, says the president is refusing to sack some of his appointees because he is okay with the corruption that is going on in his administration.

This, he says, could be the only reasonable explanation as to why the President does not want to reshuffle his Ministers.

‘Presidents Rawlings reshuffled, President Kufuor, President Mills, and President Mahama also did; these things are normal even within the public service. It is to cure stagnation, why doesn’t Nana Addo want to do this?” He asked.

‘’Well Perhaps the president is telling us he is satisfied with the corruption that is going on and as the mother serpent of corruption he is happy, superintending over the rot and he does want anyone to expose him when he reshuffles his ministers’’ he said on Kumasi based Ultimate 106.9 FM.

He again says the President’s claims that persons calling for reshuffle are seeking to destabilise his administration is an insult to Ghanaians.

‘‘More than 80% of Ghanaians want the president to reshuffle because where our economy is headed is not good, because it’s doom for us. How can you say the output of your ministers meet expectations? If Nana Addo’s ministers have performed then we are doomed forever’’, he added

‘‘How can the president say the NDC wants to destabilize his government by calling for a reshuffle when even people in your party are calling for it? This is an insult to Ghanaians’’, he said.

‘‘Why is the president not tolerant? Today when you give him constructive criticism he says you are a doomsayer, you are a naysayer. When you say Mr. President, you have to do this you have to do that he sees you as a naysayer or doomsayer. He does not tolerate dissenting opinions’’, he concluded.
