Popular lawyer, Adom Appiah who is the Ashanti Regional Secretary for the New Patriotic Party has asked the National Democratic Congress to help in the approval of the E-levy in Parliament.
Speaking on Kessben FM earlier today, Lawyer Adom Appiah pleaded with the NDC to put politics aside and help the NPP in accepting E-levy in Parliament. He stated that if the NDC were the ones in power and needed this support, the NPP would have helped them.
He stated that Covid 19 has brought a lot of hardships into the world and almost every country is struggling economically and due to that the government needs to generate its funds internally. He revealed that the only way they can do it is to make sure Ghanaians pay more taxes (E-levy).
According to him, the government is doing a lot of developmental projects and because of that they need money in funding all the projects.
