I'm Not a Subject To Your Chiefdom So What You Said Has No Meaning To Me -Prempeh To Dormaahene

The executive director of notable Ghanaian think tank, Ghana Center For Democratic Development and a highly proficient lawyer, H Kwesi Prempeh has replied Dormaa Chief, Osagyefo Oseadeyo Agyemang Badu's comments on the Anti LGBTQ bill.

In an address to his people, Osagyefo Oseadeyo Agyemang Badu said that those professors who are opposing the Anti LGBTQ bill are learning backwards instead of forward. He also warned parliament not to give ear to the professors and do what Ghanians want.

According to H Kwesi Prempeh, he does not have ears to listen to what the chief of Dormaa is saying because he is not a subject to his kingdom or chiefdom. He said he is a citizen of secular Republic called Ghana.

He further argued that all cultures are subordinates of the constitution of Ghana because that is the supreme law of the Nation.

He said whatever the chief is saying has no meaning to him in the debate because its just an opinion.

"I am not a subject of any chiefdom or kingdom. I am a citizen of a secular Republi called Ghana. All cultures in Ghana are subordinate to the Constitution of Ghana. That is the supreme law of Ghana, not any culture or cultural practice. So referring me to what some chief thinks meaning nothing to me in this debate. It is just one more opinion" he said in a Facebook post.
