[email protected], a multifaceted law firm based in Accra with a vision to providing legal solutions to cooperate bodies and individuals, has today 26th day of February opened it subsidiary office in Upper West Regional capital Wa.
The office was opened by the Minister designate for the Region Dr. Hafiz Bin Salih together with the founder of the Sory@law Lawyer Thaddeus Sory and the President of the Ghana Bar Association Mr. Clement Eledi including other important dignitaries within the legal fraternity.
In his speech, founder of [email protected] lawyer Thaddeus Sory said “today marks the birth of [email protected] in the Upper West Region of Ghana, we have always been present here in one way or the other in the sense that, you will always find us in court representing a number of us here”.
He indicated that, the law firm has been operating in the country for about seven years and has delivered the best of service to its client, he however noted that
“it is the people who made us successful; we have been able to increase our number of lawyers from three to about fourteen”. He pleaded on the community to generously share pieces of encouragement, guidance and counsel as well as also provide genuine critique, prayers and support for the successful growth and development of the firm in the Region.
The President of the Ghana Bar Association for the Upper West Region Mr Clement N. L Eledi estimated that “nobody would build the Upper West for us, it is we the Upper Westners who will build the Region for us, today [email protected] has started a journey people became lawyers before Sory was born you can think of all the illustrious sons we have in this country, I can say without fear of contradiction that this the first time in the history of the Region that we have a professional chambers here”.
He express that, the presence of the law firm would further increase and enrich the professional knowledge based of the members through regular practice and improving on challenges encountered in the line of their duties and express the joy of the GBA to witness such a novelty in the Region.
The president nominee as the Regional Minister Dr Hafiz Bin Salih commended the founder for the wisdom and interest to invest in the growth of the Region through his firm despite the huge trust and confidence many Ghanaian accords the celebrated lawyer. He affirmed that, the satellite office by [email protected] wasn’t for the financial benefits but because he is one of the son of the Region, his presence in the Region would enrich the law practice and we will also get quality legal service to their client.
The Honorable Regional Minister revealed that “A weeks ago when authorities of the newly established University for Business and Integrated Development studies paid a courtesy call on me, I appealed to them to as part of their activities to introduce a law program and they promised me to come next academic year, they are going to introduce a law program here in the Upper West Region”.
The ceremony was energized by the lioness of Africa, Noella Wiyalla performing songs like Leno, Tinambayi and many other amazing songs and also one of Ghana’s favorites dancehall kings Samini formerly of Batman also graced the occasion.
