My Mother Was An NDC Supporter: Dr. Oko Boye Boldly Drops The Main Reason Why He Lost The Election

Former Member of Parliament for the Ledzokuku Constituency in the Greater Accra Region, Mr. Bernard Oko Boye has provided detailed reasons why he lost the 2020 election.

According to Dr. Bernard Oko Boye, his late mother was an ardent NDC supporter. He added that all his siblings are also currently following the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Dr. Oko Boye indicated that he has taken time to study how ardent members of the National Democratic Congress like his mother and siblings behave.

He adds that it is difficult to convince them to vote for someone from the opposite party, and that is what caused his downfall in the 2020 general election.

Dr. Bernard Oko Boye alleges that the NDC leadership in the constituency spread a lot of lies about him and that also contributed to his defeat.

My late mother was a strong NDC supporter, and my uncles are all NDC sympathizers. I have stayed with them for many years and studied their minds.

If you ask them why they are supporting the NDC, they cannot give you any reason. They have nothing to boast of.

It’s kind of heritage, the more they are being treated badly, the more they keep supporting the NDC. So anything I did were not seen, but I was still able to close the gap”. Dr. Bernard Oko Boye indicated.

Dr. Oko Boye says the NDC was able to convince the constituents that he (Dr. Oko Boye) imposed the ban on festivals during the coronavirus pandemic.

“The NDC said a lot of things about me which were not true. I was with the people almost everywhere. I celebrated festivals with them and trained myself to identify with them.

NDC comfortably told the constituents that they are not being made to celebrate their festival, because I imposed a ban on the celebration due to the coronavirus outbreak.

There was no absolute ban on the festival. There are few ones that involves crowd, and those were banned.

But the NDC managed to convince them that it was my fault”. Dr. Oko Boye noted.
