The President dismissed a petition by ASEPA not too long ago regarding a motion they filed to the presidency to have the Chief Justice investigated. It can be recalled that lawyer Afrifa made some damning allegations against Justice Anin Yeboah and this raised a lot of eyebrows. After the petition was made to President Akufo-Addo, he also delegated his Council of State to look into it. In their findings they cleared the Chief Justice.
On The Seat, tonight, Wednesday, August 25, 2021, Kweku Anna dared ASEPA to come out clear and state their problem with the Chief Justice. According to Kweku Annan, ASEPA is nothing but an NDC tool. Kweku Annan took time to blast IMANI Vice President Kofi Bentil for his criticisms of the government. Kweku was of the view that Kofi is only good at speaking big English. He dared civil society organizations to come with non-partisan views and stop attacking the government.
“Tonight, I want answers from ASEPA. They should just tell us that they are an offshoot of the NDC. Mensah Thompson must explain to us. Ghanaians are not fools. He should tell us that they are running another NDC. Most of the civil society organizations are not helping Ghana. Now, let me talk about this guy. All he knows is to speak big English. He doesn’t know anything. He is always sitting at Joy FM and making noise. Kofi Bentil, what do you know? What does your organization know?” Kweku Annan queried.
Kweku Annan claims he is nonpartisan but literally all his comments suggest that he speaks for the ruling NPP. He is a strong advocate of the Fixing the country movement which stands opposed to the Fix the country movement.
