The ‘Fix the Country’ hashtag is still trending and sending a big signal to the government of the country. Another hashtag that seeks to counter the earlier trend came up and many have alluded that the trend is nothing more but another attempt to silence Ghanaians.
Today, Tuesday, May 4, 2021 on GHToday, Kwame Jantuah, a leading member of the CPP has argued that John Mahama deserved a round off in the 2020 elections. He explained that he strongly believes the elections were to go to a round off based on the performance of John Mahama. He called on the government to rise up and fix the country because over 6 million people are watching.
According to Kwame Jantuah, this is the time for the government to admit that all is not well and ask for ideas so as to solve the nation’s crises.
“It is my opinion and a lot might not agree but this is what I see. Unfortunately, the NDC weren’t able to prove that opinion in court because they themselves do not have those pink sheets that could have made their case better. As it is in my opinion that this election was going to a second round. I didn’t expect John Mahama to get 6 million plus at all. I expected he will get 4 million. At most 4.5.
That 6 million should tell a story that government should sit up and listen to Ghanaians. The NPP are saying there is no dumsor. there are 3 forms of dumsor. There is generation that happened during NDC, there is distribution that is ECG and Transmission which is GRIDCo. This is GRIDCo dumsor. this government hasn’t prioritized well.”
What are your thoughts? Fix the country or Fix yourself or Let’s fix the country?
