Barbara Oteng Still Commissioning Massive Projects In Prestea Even After Losing Woefully

The Prestea Scott's Stadium artificial turf (AstroTurf) project which has for a couple of months been on hold is expected to be completed by June 2021.

The contract for the Turf was awarded by GNPC upon lobbying for same by Lawyer Barbara Oteng-Gyasi during her tenure as MP. The contractor left the site due to certain issues raised by the community which had to be resolved with GNPC in respect of the contract terms.

The exciting news is that, the immediate Past Member of Parliament for Preatea Huni-Valley Constituency Hon. Lawyer #Barbara #Oteng - #Gyasi has engaged Ghana National Petroleum Cooperation Foundation (GNPC) about the state of Prestea AstroTurf and the delay in completion.

Dr. lDominic Eduah polulary known as "The Job Dey Grounds" Executive Director of GNPC Foundation explained to Lawyer Barbara Oteng-Gyasi that the contractor had been undertaking similar projects in other constituencies and decided to complete those projects pending resolution of the contractual issues with the Prestea project.

GNPC Foundation further gave assurance to the former MP that the project has not been abandoned as arrangements are under way for construction of the Turf to resume and be completed by June 2021 for the youth of Prestea to enjoy the use of a modern Astroturf Park.

The Prestea Scotts Stadium artificial turf project forms part of the numerous football fields being given a facelift by the GNPC Foundation across the country.

The provision of the state-of-the-art facility still remains a vision of the Immediate past Member Member of Parliament for Preatea Huni-Valley Constituency, Hon. Lawyer Barbara Oteng - Gyasi. A similar facility for the good people of Aboso is currently close to completion and shall be commissioned soon.
