Let's demonstrate maturity in the elections in December- GEC

The Moderator of the Global Evangelical Church (GEC), Right Reverend Dr Setorwu Kodzo Ofori, called on people to demonstrate a high degree of maturity in the upcoming elections.

He said that it is necessary for all Ghanaians, especially politicians, to ensure that their actions and inactions protect the country 's prevailing peace.

This is what Rt. Rev. Dr. Ofori said in a sermon during the burial of Mr. Makafui Woanyah, the father of the NPP Regional Chairman of Volta.

The Moderator said that through love and care for one another, peace could be achieved, adding that "we are called to display love visibly."

In the Bible, he touched on the parable of the Good Samaritan and admonished everyone to treat all as neighbors and extend unconditional love to them, stressing that without love there would be no complete peace.

The funeral service was attended by Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Vice President, Dr. Archibald Letsa, Volta Regional Minister and his Deputy, NPP Regional and Constituency Executives, Municipal and District Chief Executives, and a host of other dignitaries.
