Sammy Gyamfi is a popular public figure that does not need any introduction at all. He is a Ghanaian lawyer and politician and currently as the national communications officer for the National Democratic Congress. He was born in Sunyani, Ghana and had his secondary education at the St. James seminary secondary school.

He obtained his first degree at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). According to him, he started his active politics during his stay on the campus of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science (KNUST). According to him, he joined the National Democratic Congress (NDC) student group and due to his in depth knowledge about political and social issues.

Sammy Gyamfi won the hearts of members of TEIN-KNUST which furthered for him elected as the TEIN KNUST president in the year 2011-2012.

In 2012, he was appointed by the then Kumasi Metropolitan assembly major as his public relations officer for the Kumasi Metropolitan area. Sammy Gyamfi was also the communications director of Ibrahim Mahama's Exton Cubic Mining Group.

Sammy Gyamfi was voted as the national communications officer in 2018 after beating his contender Fred Agbenyo. He is also a lawyer by profession
