The vice president of IMANI Ghana, Kofi Bentil has dropped another message for Ghana on Galamsey brouhaha by stating that he won't believe the fight against Galamsey until President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and his team did what he is expecting from them in the country which he thought it could mean the government is serious about the Galamsey fight on going in the country.
Kofi Bentil in a social media post has disclosed to Ghanaians that the government is trying to fight illegal miners but they must do something which will show that they are serous about Galamsey fight else he won't believe the operation on going across the country.
A lot of Ghanaians have expressed their views concerning the fight against Galamsey menace and have provided a lot of solution that will help to stop the illegal mining in the country.
Some people suggested that the government must stop burning the excavators being seized and used them for road construction and other essential things, and jailed the owners of the excavators but some people disagree with them totally and supports the Government in burning the Galamsey equipments.
Today, Saturday, 29th May 2021, Kofi Bentil has stated on his facebook wall that "Until DCEs are made to lose their jobs if galamsey is found in their district, I won’t believe that the fight against galamsey is serious or genuine", to informed the government of Ghana led by President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
A lot of people have suggested the statement made by Kofi Bentil in the past to government but the Government did not take it serious and Kofi Bentils has stated it again. Ghanaians will be waiting on government if they will be able to sack those DCEs Kofi Bentil had called for.
