Ghana is set to go to the polls in 2024 and the ruling New Patriotic Party is set on organizing elections to bring out a leader. The next elections will be interesting as the NPP seek to break the 8 of Ghana’s history. Interestingly, whereas the NPP will be presenting a new face to lead them, the opposition National Democratic Congress might just allow former president John Mahama lead them.
As the flagbearer race intensifies, Ghana’s neighbors, Nigeria will be going to the polls soon. Buhari is set to step down as Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is set to lead the All Progressive Congress. President Akufo-Addo in a twitter tweet has denied calling on Tinubu to set down as presidential candidate for Peter Obi to fill the gap. Interestingly, the rumors had it that Ghana’s president wants Tinubu to seek medical attention.
The president described the rumors as false and has no truth. He noted that he hasn’t authored any letter like that and will forever do all that is possible not to destroy the bond of love between Ghana and Nigeria. Heck out how Ghanaians are reacting to this tweet.
