Captain Godsbrain Smart has been arrested by the Nima divisional police command. The reason for his arrest is purported to be making various statements that has the tendency to destabilise the peace we are enjoying in Ghana.
Smart is the host of the morning show 'Onua Maakye' on Onua TV. His programs have enjoyed huge followership over the years. He commands a lot of people who religiously follow his shows because of his campaign against corruption in successive governments.
Is as much as I don't condone corruption, whatever allegations that you will raise against someone, you should be sure and have evidence to back your claims in order not to damage the reputation of people. Captain Smart has been on his anti-corruption campaign for a long time. He has made a lot of statements where people have threatened to take him on but we haven't heard anything concrete from such people. I just hope that his arrest is not political witch hunting but this case should be followed to conclusion.
