The tensions that arose when the President introduced Alan Kyeremanten and Afriyie Akoto as the two Ashanti contenders of his seat have all of a sudden come to a halt as no one talks of it anymore. Today, Kelvin Taylor settled that tension and debate by naming the person who suits the position of flagbearer in the New Patriotic Party. Kelvin Taylor disclosed that he has been fond of that candidate right from the onset of his political career. Between Dr. Bawumia and Alan Kyeremanten, Kelvin Taylor selected Alan Kyeremanten as the one who had all the sterling qualities to become a President.
Kelvin Taylor praised Alan for not being just gentle, but also competent in his field as Minister. Kelvin Taylor explained that Alan's only problem was that he had no ties with the seat of the President. That is, he has never been close to the Presidency seat, unlike Bawumia. Thus, Kelvin Taylor alleged that Alan Kyeremanten will not have any international support when he is voted to become President.
