Some days ago, Deputy Chairman of the Electoral Commission (EC) in charge of Corporate Services, Dr. Bossman Asare, stated that Ghana Card will be a requirement for voting in the 2024 election. This information which was released by Dr Bossman Asare hasn't gone well with the opposition party, NDC, as they have opposed the idea by the EC.
According to the NDC, the idea by the EC will disenfranchised a lot of people from taking part in the 2024 elections.
Today, Ismael Adams, a communicator for the New Patriotic Party has added his voice to the ongoing discussions. He has told the leadership of the National Democratic Congress to stop interfering in the activities of the Electoral Commission and allow the Electoral Commission to do their job.
Speaking on Movement TV, Ismael Adams said that the NDC is opposing this idea by the EC because they fear losing the 2024 election. He revealed that the NDC is afraid because they know the chance of them "stealing" in every election is over now.
He concluded by stating that the use of the Ghana card will help make the work of the Electoral Commission simple as people will not queue for simple registration. What do you think about this news? Let us know what you think in the comment section.
