New Development in the Sim Card Re-registration

The Renowned Director of Operations of New Patriotic Party Youth Organization (NPPYO) and Former DCE Aspirant for Suaman district of Western North region, Hon.Kennedy Annor Ngyissah Koah has urgently urged the government especially Communication Minister, Hon Ursula Owusu to descend down with Telecommunication company (TELCOS) to decentralize the re-registration process to overcome challenges at the various centres.

According to the research conducted by Hon.Ngyissah-Koah shows that the registrants are complaining about the challenges they are facing that need solution as soon as possible.The centres are chaos and registration process has been fraught with a lot of challenges he added".

He continues applause the government for this policy been implemented to curb money laundering, mobile money fraud, sim box business, impersonation and many more. He again said, this exercise(Ghana card) would also assist the government to deal with the ghost names in our payroll system and such monies could be used for developmental projects in the country.

Furthermore, Hon Koah added that in as much as the policy is to register all sim cards in the country is something commendable, the Ministry of Communication should work with TELCOS officials to put measures in place in order to curb menace at the centres. The citizens have done nothing wrong to deserve inhuman treatment from the TELCOS.

He concluded by saying that, the policy is something that everyone in the country is welcoming but it could also create a bad name for the government if not implemented well.
