We Did Not Scheme For Bawumia: NPPs Buaben Asamoah Tells Ghanaians

The Communication Director of the New Patriotic Party, Yaw Buaben Asamoah, has debunked all rumors circulating that some executives and bigwigs in the party are intending to manipulate the system in order for Bawumia to become the flag bearer of the New Patriotic Party and consequently, the President of the Republic of Ghana.

Speaking on Kessben FM, the former Member of Parliament for the Adenta constituency, Yaw Buaben Asamoah, explained that the party is not and never intends to scheme in favor of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia. According to him, Bawumia is enjoying an incumbency advantage. That is, his position as Vice President of Ghana gives him higher access to the masses and also, several opportunities. He added that Alan Kyeremanten and the other potential candidates who have ministerial positions face a chance of being reshuffled or sacked by Nana Addo.

Yaw Buaben Asamoah buttressed his claims by saying that, even Bawumia had to suffer from the decision taken by the National Executive Council. An example he gave was the waste of financial resources by Bawumia when the Executives of the National Patriotic Party called for a pulling down of all campaign billboards.
