Today, April 12, 2012 the Senior Vice President and Policy Analyst of IMANI Africa, Mr Kofi Bentil, has jabbed the current administration of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on his Facebook page.
According to him, it is disheartening to see sensitive governmental projects being funded and executed by a foreign country via donor support.
He further asserted in his post that these actions mostly denigrate the pride and nobility of a sovereign state.
He asked that,
“So we can't find our own money to build and repair our seat of government and Ministries of Defense and Foreign affairs? What kind of leaders do we have?”
Kofi Bentil made reference to Citi FM report which indicates that Ghana and China have signed an agreement to construct annex building for Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration. The storey building will be funded by Chinese government whiles the government of Ghana provides the necessary assistance.
