The post election disunity within the opposition NDC seems to be growing by the day.
Over the weekend, a group of cadres and loyalist the NDC converged at Tema to deliberate on issues which resulted in the defeat of the party in the just ended elections and profer solutions. This has generated a lot of conversation and controversy in the party.
Former Defence minister and cadre of the NDC, Dr. Benjamin Bewa-Nyog Kumbour has responded to claims that he is looking for relevance and attention, a more reason why he snubbed the party's retreat at Ho and attended the cadres forum. He has also been heard calling on the party's leadership to account for the votes garnered by the party. His comments comes at the back of the allegations made against the party not able to collate the results of the elections.
In a one-on-one interview with Citi TV's Umaru Sanda Amadu, the NDC stalwart said, he does not belong to the crying babies for attention and is a self-made man who does not seek validation from anyone to make his position or thoughts known.
"I don't belong to the crying babies for attention. I am a self-made man. I like to hold myself on my own bet strings. When people are talking about relevance or irrelevance, it is either here nor there to me".
According to the former majority leader, people do not understand why he attended the cadres forum instead of the retreat at Ho. "The council of elders had a representative at Ho and so I decided to honour the invitation of the organizers of the forum which is equally important now for the party. I am not part of the organizers but I was invited as a panelist and I guess the reason why I was invited is my relationship with the cadres and my years of experience in the NDC".
