“I Am Very Sad About This. No One Can Convince Me” – Kwesi Pratt Boldly Declares

The week has been dominated by the report from European Union’s Report on the 2020 elections. The media has received mixed reactions since the release of the report. The report called the 2020 elections free and fair and met large portions of international standards. The NDC have claimed that the report is flawed and needs not to be taken serious. The NPP have however received the report with joy.

Today, Saturday, April 17, 2021 on Pan African’s ‘Alhaji and Alhaji’, veteran journalist, Kwesi Pratt, managing editor of the Insight newspaper, shared his thoughts. He felt saddened by the contents of the report and called the report a contradiction of itself.

“I am worried that the Ghanaian elite is still waiting for validation from our colonial exploiters. I feel very deeply sad about this. We went for an election and we waiting for the EU to tell us the elections went well or not. Whatever we do in this country, 63 or 64 years we are waiting for these predatory institutions. That’s why am sad.

Anybody who was not in Ghana can write this report. The report is useless. Many parts of the report contradict other parts of the report. No one can convince me the report is genuine. The report is useless and baseless. At the end of the report if you read you won’t understand” Kwesi said.

According to him the report is biased and incorrect because out of the 275 constituencies the report only covered 35 constituencies and out of the over 33,000 polling stations the EU Observatory team only covered less than 300 polling centers. How can this report be taken serious?” Kwesi Pratt queried.

Do you agree with Kwesi Pratt that the report is flawed?
