Ghanaians are twenty-six days away from the December polls. It wil be another feisty race to the Jubilee House as the 2 biggest political parties in the country will battle for the highest seat of the land and the usual bragging rights. As the election day approaches the 2 parties have waged verbal wars whenever they clash in media debates.
Today Wednesday November 11, 2020 on New Day hosted by Johnny Hughes there was a clash of communicators from the 2 biggest political parties. Alhaji Suhuyini, NDC aspiring member of Parliament for Tamale North and Dennis Miracle Aboagye, a member of the NPP Communications team and former MCE of Akuapem North clashed in the studios of TV3.
Dennis Aboagye was of the view that the NDC are desperate to recapture power. He insisted that the NDC which has been the most corrupt in the country wil never come to power again.”
“The NDC we knew of 2016 is the same as the one of 2020. This election of 2020 is between the power of God and darkness” Dennis said. Johnny then probed to find out which side represented darkness. “Nana Akufo-Addo represents the power of God because of his honesty and compassion and John Mahama represent darkness because of his lies and corruption” Dennis rebutted.
Suhuyini responded with equal fire when he maintained that the Nana Addo governemt is the most corrupt with a host of scandals hovering around the government. He was of the view that one of the scandals that hurts him most is the scandal on the expenses made on the provision of food during the lockdown. He cited the president and those around him as corrupt and incompetent.
After arguing and battering each other they joked and laughed together as though nothing has happened.
Which party has been more honest with people of Ghana? Which one represents the power of darkness? Share your thoughts!
