Outspoken Onua Tv host, Captain Smart was on the airwaves this morning again to speak about matters making rounds in the country. During his editorial on "Onua Maakye", he stated that; the NDC and NPP are afraid of him. This, he attributed to the fact that, he is not one of the Journalists who are paid by the government to do its bidding.
He indicated that, both parties parties have been asking themselves "how this guy survives".
"You do not know the kind of person I am. Both the NPP and the NDC are very much afraid of me. I will always say what is on my mind because I am not one of the Journalists who are paid by the government. I will not shut up today or tomorrow. I have never taken bribe and I would never take. No politician can claim they have done anything for me. I am not one of those, whose wives are given vehicles. Any Politician who has given me any form of bribe should come out and call me out. The connived with women from Europe just to bring me down but it never work. Loans are killing this country.
The charismatic journalist expressed his disappointment with how both parties have failed to make things better for the country. He indicated that, both parties have been a disappointment and it is about time the country gets fixed. He criticized the youth for unnecessarily defending the two main political parties instead of holding them accountable.
"And to those of you who have been defending NPP and NDC, you are a great disappointment to this country. You are only defending thieves. Yes, they are all a bunch of thieves who are only taking advantage of this country. Wake up Ghana youth. This country needs serious fixing".
He expressed anger and sorrow and indicated that, things are getting out of hand in the country and it is not funny any more.
" A country that has oil and now the oil is meaningless to the livelihood of the ordinary Ghanaian. The men and women are suffering. Men do not have jobs to do and women sleep on bare floors in the hospitals and yet nothing is done to make things right. You have done nothing; you are just professors of stealing. These guys are just a bunch of thieves. The Ghanaian politicians are nothing but just a bunch of thieves and you think its a joke? " he quizzed.
He wondered why Ghana is still in this state in the abundance of natural resources. He blamed it on both parties and accused them of only serving their interests and not the development of the country.
Our leaders need to re-strategize because things keeping getting more difficult everyday. The policies and plans they implement should not only be seen on paper but should be felt by the ordinary Ghanaian across the political divide. We have come a long way as a country to still be grappling with pertinent issues like this.
