The President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwah Akuffo-Addo is currently on a two day tour to the Northern Region of Ghana from Monday,August 8 2022 to Tuesday,August 9 2022.
The President is currently there to visit the chiefs and the citizens and also to commission finished governmental projects.
As part of his tour, he granted a radio interview to Radio North Star, a Tamale based radio station on August , 8 2022 where he reacted to people saying he should reshuffle his appointees.
He made it clear to Ghanaians that he has no immediate plans of heeding to those calls because the output of his appointees are consistent with the expectations and therefore there is no need to reshuffle them.
During the interview he said, " For all you know, it is people who want to destabilize my government or people who are looking for jobs, who are behind those calls".
He also said " The issue of reshuffling or performance of my ministers is a daily pre-occupation , I'm required on a daily basis to ask myself whether a minister is up to the mark".
"I am the final authority and if they are not up to the mark, I'm required to act . So if they are up to expectations then I don't have any reason to heed to the calls for reshuffling, " President Akuffo-Addo said.
He also made a comment that the NDC wants to destabilize his government and also stating the need to rather have a comprehensive look at the matters relating to reshuffling of minister and other government appointees.
