Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is a Muslim and all Muslims in Ghana have state their stance of which they are for the bill to be passed in Parliament.
Even the chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu has state his stance and he is also for the bill to be passed because it is against the Islamic tradition.
But, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has not come out and state his stance on the bill.
Allotey claims, The president, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo also states his stance on the bill but he hasn't been specific on it as whether he is for or against the passing of the bill.
