Baah – The New Crusading Guide Online"/>
A Political Scientist and member of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) Dr Richard Amoako Baah says President Akufo-Addo is currently the most unpopular person in Ghana.
He says the booing incident that occurred at the Global Citizens Festival is a clear indication that the President’s popularity has waned with the people of Ghana.
What is unfortunate in all of this is that the President is still under the illusion that he is popular and loved by the people, he said.
Speaking on Kumasi-based Ultimate FM on Monday, October 3, Dr Baah, says the President has become unpopular because he and his appointees do not listen to the cries of the people.
‘‘Ghanaian politicians don’t pay attention, those overseas they have people who pay attention to all these things, ours is just talking, so when you become unpopular and you are the president, you don’t know you are unpopular? How is that possible?’’
‘‘You are the president of the country and you don’t know the people are angry with you, they are angry with your government, you become so unpopular, some people planned to through kenkey at him, oh yes’’
‘‘When things get bad, it has to get to a certain level before people say that it is and it’s getting there. Booing the president is an indication, it’s getting higher and higher’’, he said.
