Mr. Delali Seworkpor, a member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has gone blunt with how the NPP government is enforcing the sanctions of breaching the Covid-19 safety protocols, and the inaction of the government to adopt necessary measures to curtail the spread of the Covid-19 disease.
Nigeria, in reaction to the rising and ravaging cases of Covid-19 in some countries like India, has taken a conscious effort to close all their international borders, although it has been alleged that Nigeria is among countries that has been not responsive with regards to the Covid-19 19 pandemic, and hence their statistics pertaining to Covid-19 pandemic is not a true reflection of what is really happening there.
Mr. Seworkpor, with reference to Nigeria's reaction, angrily expressed his disappointment in the government for reason being that the government has relaxed in the fight of the Covid-19 pandemic. He further alleged that the government has allocated an amount of 21 billion Ghana cedis in the fight of the novel Covid-19 pandemic but has not yet done the best.
Speaking further lamented the fact the the government is discriminatory and partial in effectuating the sanctions of breaching the Covid-19 safety protocols. He infer from the just recent brouhaha concerning the Christ Embassy Church and criticized the government of being bias. He said; "if it was to be ordinary Ghanaians who held that mass gathering without even ensuring the protocols, the government would have been bureaucratic with the enforcement of the sanctions.But what do we see, a direct opposite of equality before the law".
