The 8th inauguration of the speaker of parliament didn't go well for the democracy of Ghana, and milage we have for our parliamentarians, before the whole activity there was tension in town concerning how the thing is going to turn out. Its sad and very heart breaking to see members of parliament, law makers for that matter, behave in the manner some of them did live on television.
The voting for the next speaker of parliament was conducted three solid times, due to arguments and misunderstanding between some members, finally the voting was done in the third round and after the NDC's Candidate Mr.Alan Bagbin votes counted where he got 137 votes which automatically makes him the winner. An Honorable member Mr.Carlos Ahenkorah quickly run in for the ballot papers and escaped with it, some security personnel's and members of the opposition party NDC chased him as he run with the ballot peppers.
Once Alan Bagbin had majority of the votes it means he won the seat for the Speaker of Parliament. He has been sworn in as the speaker of Parliament. The inauguration of the president his Excellency Nana Addo Dankwah Akuffo Addo is under, it will take place at the same Parliament house.
