NLA Boss Mr. Kofi Osei Ameyaw asked to retire compulsory by President Akufu-Addo.

President Akufu-Addo asked NLA boss Mr. Kofi Osei Ameyaw for a compulsory retirement after awarding him a year contract last year September 3, 2020. Mr. Ameyaw who happened to be sixty last year was given a year contract. He got himself retired upon writing to the President about his one year contract lapsing February this year. It's not clear as to whether he wanted another year as the NLA boss or he did to remind the President

The President in his letter dated Wednesday, March 10, 2021 to Mr. Kofi Osei Ameyaw stated: "Accordingly you are directed to hand over to Mr. Ernest Mortey, the FinanceAccordingly you are directed to hand over to Mr. Ernest Mortey, the Finance Director of the Authority who shall act as the Director-General of the Authority pending the appointment of a substantive Director-General. You are further directed to proceed to collect any terminal benefits or facilities due you under the relevant law.” Director-General of the Authority pending the appointment of a substantive Director-General.
