Good Wishes Keep Pouring in, To ICGC's Dr. Mensa Otabil's Wife. PICS

Renowned teacher of the word of God, and leader of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC), Dr. Mensa Otabil, and the entire members of the church are celebrating their mother, Mrs. Joy Otabil today, as she turns 60years today.

With thousands of birthday celebrations and wishes been shared on social media, all aimed to celebrate her unique contribution to their lives, obviously outside the pulpit, as she has largely shyed away from teaching the word also.

In a post sighted on Facebook by her youngest Son-In -Law, who is married to her daughter, Pastor Nhyira Otabil, he pens down these simple and lovely words saying that, "Happy 60th birthday mummy. You are the epitome of beauty, grace, strength and creativity. Thank you for loving me as a son. I am eternally grateful for all that you have done for me and my family."

In another post by a fast rising author and marketer Petra Aba Asamoah, she writes that:

"A force, Lady Joy Otabil. Go! Tell it on the mountains, over the hills and everywhere - Joy to the world! 1,2,3.....60! God gifts us with people. She is a rare gift. Ever so often you encounter a person who gives you the “it’s possible to be” vibe. This example of: It’s possible to be beside and strong, It’s possible to be calm and clear, It’s possible to be firm and warm, It’s possible to sit down and enjoy an event you’ve organized because you’ve already done the work, It’s possible to be who you are without trying to be in any type of mould ... not what everyone expects.

Different. Minister. Mother. Matriarch. Before I encountered this example of “it’s possible to be...” I had my questions about being a Pastor’s wife. What role, what place, what form, what purpose? Then I slowly observed this force. Not subtle in any way, shape or form. Not a shadow. A defining presence. Every day must be better. Every year something bigger for the kingdom. Every opportunity, something more for the people.

...where no one is left behind. “Think about it and then think some more. Then think again because there’s always something extra you can add to make it excellent.” This is the Lady Joy example. A story teller doesn’t run out of stories, I have many to tell...but alas! I must pause. This is 60. This is God’s Grace. This is our Lady Joy. Celebrated today and always - for leadership, for vision, for warmth, for smiles that encourage, for moments that teach, for excellence. Happy birthday Lady Joy."

A fast rising young Pastor of the Church, Prince Lloyd Nyarko writes that "Wow... 60 years of GOD’S GOODNESS... A great 60th birthday to our First Lady in ICGC.... Lady Joy Otabil... We celebrate a woman who represents vision, purpose and achievements! We say God continue to bless and increase you in all your endeavors... Great year to you woman of God"

The senior Pastor at the East Legon based ICGC Open Heavens Temple, Rev Eric Xexemeku writes that, "Happy 60th Birthday Lady Joy Otabil. We join the world to celebrate you on this special day. We are blessed to have you in our lives." #Fruitfulness #Overflow #Honour #Birthdays #Celebrations

May be an image of 1 person and text that says 'ICGC OPEN HEAVEN Iyor J LADY OTABIL @60 60 REV. ERIC XEXEMEKU & ICGC OPEN HEAVENS TEMPLE We Celebrate You! ICGC COPEN HEAVENS TEMPLE'

ICGC Worldwide writes that, "Happy Birthday Lady Joy Otabil! We thank God for your life and we pray for God's blessings upon you. May you soar higher and higher." #HBDLadyJoy

Whereas very little is known about her, she has been the only wife of the renowned man of God and together they have three daughters and a son. She appears to support the husbands ministry silently from the back, as opposed to been seen usually teaching alongside the husband, as is seen in other churches.

Dr. Mensa Otabil simply wrote that, "Happy Birthday to my dear wife." and shared this picture also. Clearly, he isn't spilling all of the sweet words into the public domain, especially when they have the whole of the day and the rest of their lives, to themselves.
