As the head priest of St. Peter's and Paul Catholic Kafin Koro and the spiritual leader of the Kafin Koro Deanery of the Minna Diocese, Father Achi was a respected figure in the community.

According to a source familiar with the incident, a group of armed individuals surrounded the hilltop home of the late Father Isaac Achi located in Kafin Koro around 1:00 a.m. The attackers attempted to break into the house for almost an hour before ultimately dousing the residence in gasoline and setting it on fire.

Father Collins, an assistant to the late Father Isaac Achi, sustained an injury to his leg while trying to escape the fire. He is currently receiving treatment at a confidential medical facility located in Minna.

Our informant said that the deceased priest had made an emergency call to a family member, and the family member alerted the local police station. Despite the quick response, the attackers were able to overpower the police.

According to information obtained, the perpetrators set the building on fire with the priest inside and fled the scene once the structure was fully engulfed in flames.
