Church Service Goes Wrong At Asante Akim Presby After Presbyters Sack Their Head Pastor

It was full of drama at one of the beaches of the numerous Churches owned by the Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG), as many Christians across the country rushed in their numbers to pay homage to their objects of worship for a successful crossover into the new year, yesterday Sunday January 3, 2021, which was the first Sunday of the year 2021, this wasn't the case of Trinity Presby Church at Domeabra in the Asante Akim Presbytery of the Asante Akim North Municipal.

On the Almanac of the PCG, yesterday was the first communion service of the year which was supposed to be observed by all their Churches across the country, but all things not been equal the large building which takes about 800 to1000 congregants was locked by the Presbyters as members at Domeabra were stranded at the the premises.

According to the Presbyters, the Head Pastor Very Rev. Ebenezer Nana Mensah Kuma who is the District Minister carrying his activities in the area is a misanthropist and doesn't care about the welfare of his congregants.

The worst of all, he has been accused of embezzlement, that he controls all the funds, pays himself and does extravagant expenses without proper accountability.

Before he was posted to the area, Pastors were given allowance of Ghs 500, interestingly he came and increase his own to 150%, currently receives Ghs1500

Series letters and complaints have been filled against him to the moderator at the Headquarters in Accra to cause his transfer.

In a response to their request, it was on record that he would have been transferred on December 31,2020 which ended on last Friday, they think he has no business with them anymore hence triggered their actions to have locked him behind the church on the Sunday morning.
