Moses Never Took The Israelites to The Promised Land: Reactions As Nana Addo is Compared to Moses

Moses is the biblical individual that has led the Israelites from Egypt, the land of slavery according to the biblical narrative and was supposed to take them to the land of Canaan, a land flowing with milk and honey.

Above is an image that has portrayed Moses leading the Israelites.

When people are in slavery, it is a clear sign that they might be suffering under the ruling of someone. It therefore takes another individual from somewhere or someone already among the enslaved to fight for the rights of the enslaved in order to save them from bondage.

In the case of Moses, he has to be called from the land of Midian to rescue the Israelites from bondage at Egypt.

Today, the official facebook page of the president of the Republic of Ghana was updated with a post about a chief who hailed praises on the president of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo, calling him the Moses of our time.

The reactions that have followed the update were numerous and we have decided to share some of these reactions with you.

King Darko thinks that there was something funny about the comparison that the chief has made.

King Darko has recalled that Moses in the bible was not able to lead the Israelites to the promised land as he was instructed to do.

According to the bible, it was Joshua who took over the leading of the Israelites from Moses and has succeeded in leading the Israelites to the promised land, Canaan.

It is a fact that the comparison that was made was intended to praise the president of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo, but unfortunately, Ghanaians have read another meaning into it.

Notwithstanding, it should also be recalled that Moses was a great leader that was able to lead the Israelites from bondage. Whether he was able to get to the promised land or not, his success in other aspects of his call is evident.

For that matter, it should not be a big deal when an individual is compared to him. It is simply a matter of the angle from which one has decided to compare it from.

Do you think that the chief has erred in his comparison?
