Should we stop giving out our tithes to churches . Reading the Bible is very good. It helps one to obey instructions and also follow the leads of the Bible. You can read a common story book just like you can read the Bible, but you cannot understands unless the Holy Spirit intervenes.
Therefore anytime you are reading the Bible you pray for knowledge and understanding from God before reading it. So you don’t mislead the public.
Let’s take a look at Deuteronomy chapter 14 verse 22 to 29. The Bible says that among our produce, we should set aside at least 10 percent of it. On question you should ask yourself is where are you going to get that 10 percent from. The bibile says And you shall eat before the lord your God, in the place where he chooses to make his name abide. Here are some things included in tithes; grains, animals etc.
This Bible verse has caused a lot of confusions and fight among Christians because it says that they should consume their tithes instead of offering it or sending it to the church. According to the verse when a church of far away from your home, your are suppose to exchange the tithe to portable sliver. You also have to visit the church, buy anything you want and consume it right before the lord you God.
In our Christian life, we do not present offerings and tithes to the altar. After the pastor is done praying, It will be taken to treasury.
