And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer
The God of the Bible is the most interesting personality. He created you, knows every single detail about your life, He knows everything about everything. Yet, He takes pleasure in just seeing your face in prayer.
When the Pharisees tried to trap Jesus, they brought Him a coin with Caesar’s image. Jesus took the coin, looked at the image, and then told them, “Give to Caesar that which is Caesar’s, and to God that which is God’s.” The image on the coin determined to whom the coin should be given.
You are created in God’s image, made to be given to God. He wants to be discovered by you, but that requires spending more time with Him. Prayer is not for you to get results. Prayer is that condition of a person seeking intimacy with God. It is cultivating a relationship with God.
I am a house of prayer. I prioritize prayer because I prioritize my relationship with God. I am a lover of God, and I cultivate intimacy with Him through a lifestyle of prayer.
