Meditate on these bible verses for the night

Thank you for clicking on my article. We all are aware how prayer is very important in our lives. There is certainly no doubt about that. It carries much weight than any other.

As usual, I would love to chip in a lovely quote by Billy Graham that reads “we are to pray in times of adversity, lest we become faithless and unbelieving. We are to pray in times of prosperity, lest we become boastful and proud. We are to pray in times of danger, lest we become fearful and doubting. We ae to pray in times of security, lest we become self-sufficient”. Prayer is for us all. It gives us some comfort in our pain and strength to face the future.

This evening I would love for us to have a look at some few prayer verses. Whether you are confused, sad or in pain and even in happiness, I have got a verse for that. Feel the words as you meditate on them and lean not on your own understanding.

1. Joshua 1: 9

From the NIV version, it reads “have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid, do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go”.

2. Philippians 4:6-7

From the ESV version, it reads “do not be anxious about anything, but in prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, ley your requests be known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.”

3. James 1:2-5

From the NIV, “consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. If you lack wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you”.

4. Psalm 16:8-9

From the King James Version, it reads “I have set the Lord always before me because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. Therefore, my heart is glad and my glory rejoiceth, my flesh also shall rest in hope”.

The bible helps to guide us in every possible way, we need help with. Hope these bible verses would help you. Thank you for reading.
