The Bono Regional Youth Organizer for the National Democratic Congress, Efo Worlanyo Tsekpo has told a Catholic bishop, Palmer that he should tell President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to build more hospitals than thinking about building the National Cathedral.
According to Efo Worlanyo Tsekpo, "GOD WILL BE HAPPY IF WE BUILD MORE HOSPITALS TO SAVE HIS SHEEP THAN A CATHEDRAL".
He told the bishop Palmer in a plain language that your Holiness, Your sheep are hungry, they are dying, they are unemployed and all we could hear is that they should ignore their hunger and unemployment status, the unbearable hardship they are going through which the Catholic Bishop Conference echoed to Government recently and still contribute to build a cathedral?
He questioned that where will the unemployed Youth get the money from? Where will the hungry sheep get the money from?
Efo Worlanyo Tsekpo who wants the bishop to understand what mean very well told the Catholic Bishop that the Young men in Techiman, Banda, Nkrankwanta who were killed by armed men, their parents did not hear a word from him which is understandable. "Your holiness, they were ignored, they went through the pain alone. Mother Theresa said we should feed the poor, help the sick, comfort those who are sad. She didn't asked us to tax them while they are going through all these pains to build a cathedral for God that is even someone's personal pledge to God" Efo Worlanyo Tsekpo emotionally stated.
He said today, those affected families can't feed themselves because its their breadwinners that were killed and all they could tell them is for them to ignore their hardship, forget their pain and contribute to a personal pledge of building a cathedral that the "murderer of these people" made to God.
"My Bishop, am sorry God himself will not be happy to hear this from his Shepherd. Because he said the Shepherd should care for his sheep. And if even one of the sheep is lost, the Shepherd goes after it but with this time eight (8) of these sheep were murdered and you cared not. Where is the love, where is the compassion?" Efo Worlanyo Tsekpo questioned again.
Efo Worlanyo Tsekpo went ahead to state that God will be happy for Ghana to build more hospitals to save COVID-19 patients which he described as "sheep"
According to him, Shepherds like former President, John Dramani Mahama built the magnificent GA East Hospital where the Bishop himself gave a testimony as COVID-19 survivor which indicates that building hospitals at this point in time is more important than building national cathedral.
"Your Lordship, Moses who built the Tabernacle for God did not promote LGBTQ+, he did not collapse people's businesses to make them poor, he did not sleep with Serwaa Broni, He did not inflate prices of COVID-19 vaccines, he did not terrorize his people with the army, he did not live luxurious life, infact Moses was not corrupt so God was happy with him when he decided to lead his people to build a tabernacle for him.
Lastly My Bishop, we were told by the Bible that when Moses was with the Israelites on the desert in the wilderness, they were Never hungry because God fed them with manna free of charge and protected them with pillars of clouds during the day and pillars of fire during at night so that no murderer could kill eight of them like Nana Addo did in the 2020 Election. So they had a sound mind to contribute in building the Tabernacle for God. May the Lord continue to be our guide and May His Holy Name be Praised" Efo Worlanyo Tsekpo added when urging the bishop to tell President Nana Akufo-Addo to build more hospitals and forget the national cathedral. Efo Worlanyo Tsekpo made this statement known on his social media wall today.
