The president of Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) Church, Pastor Dr. Thomas Techie Ocran wrote and signed a statement form on behalf of all the Adventist church unions in Ghana.
Check the statement below
In the statement form, Pastor Dr. Thomas Techie Ocran asked a question that states, “Will the Adventist church supports a legislation that criminalizes the act?”
He answered himself by saying “Yes” and went further to explain the reason of his answer.
Upon explaining, Dr. Thomas said, all forms of sins must be controlled and restrained by laws.
He further stated, laws are redemptive tools intended for restoring the dignity of humans who were created in the image of God.
So therefore, the Adventist church supports the promotion of proper human sexual rights and family bill and call all well-meaning Ghanaians to support the passage of the bill.
Dr. Thomas ended by saying, May God bless our nation and help us to preserve our love for Him, one another and the nation.
